The long awaited sequel is here. Here are several more tips to improve your game. Let’s get right down to business.
*Try Out Different Button Layouts
To begin with, hopefully you don’t need this guide. If you don’t… let’s begin. Trying out different button layouts is an excellent way to improve your game, but, first you have to know what type of player you are. If you like to jump a lot and/or are involved in close quarter fighting, you might want to try out the controller scheme of bumper jumper. Or, if you are really into giving the one-two punch you may want to check out the boxer controller layout. Keep in mind, don’t immediately think you will start seeing results; just find what is best for you and stick with it.
*Practice With Precision Weapons
Except in a few situations, with a skilled player, the one wielding the battle rifle will defeat the one wielding the assault rifle. If you are good with the battle rifle and the sniper rifle you can easily take out the average n00b who has latched onto their spawning weapon. Please, for the sake of the team, don’t pick up power weapons you suck with.
*Survival Of The Fittest… Reverse…
If you’re playing a team oriented game and an enemy player is going on a rampage (let’s name him Nazgul), communicate with your teammates (I covered this earlier) and combine your firepower to take him out (teabag if you wish…)! Most likely, this will slow down the enemy team and you now have a chance to go on a rampage of your own.

I’m back again to give my faithful readers (haha) some tips on how to play Halo 3. Let’s get right to the point.
Be The Camper Within
Just because Halo 3 is fairly fast paced does not mean you need to be moving all the time. There are certain times you should camp and crouch (that way you won’t show up on radar…). Especially if you an insta-kill weapon such as a shotgun, sword or hammer. Make sure you pick your spot wisely though…
Don’t Get Upset
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard team mates start cursing and throwing a tantrum online when they get killed. Not only does it drive others crazy, your probably going to start playing worse. Take a deep breath and play like a champion. :p
Choose The Right Weapon For The Right Situation
Think about it. If you are going to rush out in the open are you going to get any kills with that sword? If you are going to be up close, bring an up up close weapon. Far away? Bring a long range weapon.
Don’t Single Wield a Dual Wield-able Weapon
Okay, there is an exception, The mauler can do perfectly fine by itself. Other than that, most dualies should be used in pairs. A single SMG is not going to stand a change against an assault rifle unless luck has something to do with it.

Here are some tips for Halo 3. I will be posting more later…
Take Advantage of the Crouch Jump
Take advantage of the crouch jump! You will be amazed how it can help you maneuver around any map. For those that don’t know what it is… a crouch jump is when you jump but then hit and the hold the crouch button (usually left stick) allowing for you to get to higher places.
Push the Limit
Anyone can memorize a mpa but it takes a true gamer to push the limit. Can I jump here? Can I do this? Can I do that? Start answering these questions and you will definitely have an advantage.
Let’s Get Sensitive
If your having a hard time reacting to surprising enemies (or not…), try turning up the controller sensitivity. The highest you can get used to without losing accuracy is what you want. I personally have mine set at 7 out of the highest of 10.

I know it sounds very odd when you put the words professional and gamer in the same sentence. While it does sound kind of funny it is really possible and it does exist! It takes a lot of time and effort. So, with that in mind, let’s begin…
Practice, Practice, Practice!
Just like any sport, becoming a professional takes a lot of practice. And when I say practice I don’t mean just playing your favorite game over and over again until your red in the face (tricked ya didn’t I?). It means developing strategies, running plays and becoming a master of sorts. One of my favorite sayings is this, “Practice doesn’t make perfect; perfect practice makes perfect.” This statement is very true. When your practicing your mind has to be on! It can’t be one of those times where you want to zone out and videogames are your escape.
Joining/Building A Team
Most likely you will need a team for most tournaments and which one you join or who you put in your team will make or break the gold trophy in your mind. Look for stable, good, friendly gamers you can get a long with; without chemistry, the team will never win.
Start Small And Then Go Big
Let’s get this straight. You won’t be making any money or win big at the first tournament you go to. Start at a small local tournament and get a few of those under your waistline and then try for some bigger ones. During this time you can also test whether or not you have the right people for your team. If someone isn’t pulling their weight… give them the kick… (Harsh? I know.)
To Be Continued…
